Day 18, July 15th: Completely exhausted from the festivities of last night, we allowed ourselves to sleep in and regain some strength and energy. We decided to spend the day deep-cleaning our apartment, which was quite satisfying. It was dinner time before we knew it, so we went back to rue Mouffetard to Au P'tit Grec for some savory crepes. They were delicious and very filling. Then we hopped on bus 27 to the Louvre for Free Entrance Friday! Each of us had made a game-plan prior to this trip, so we split up upon arrival and went to go see what each of our hearts desired. Ali spent a lot of her time in the Islamic art section, getting lost in all the bold colors and intricate details. Maddie spent her time looking at the French sculptures and enjoying the stories alongside the mythological pieces. At 9pm, we made our way to the exit (it takes at least a good ten minutes to get out of the place), and then hopped back on the bus to take us home. We are both sore and tired and ready for sleep, bon nuit!
