Day 19, July 16th: Today we took a metro adventure to the adorable neighborhood of Montmartre. After navigating through many different metro stations our final destination plopped us out right in front of Le Moulin Rouge. We knew we were hungry and wanted to eat lunch at Le Maison Rose, a restaurant where Picasso and his crew would hang out. On our way there we made a pit stop at le mur des je t'aime (the wall of I love you's). It has I love you written all over in in 250 different languages, it took us a while to find the English "i love you" amongst the other languages, but we found it! Then we stolled futher up the hilly neighborhood to Le Maison Rose, and enjoyed a nice lunch. Afterward, we proceeded to climb up the hill in search of Sacre-Coeur, also know as sacred heart or church on a hill. If you can't tell by now, Montemarte is VERY hilly. The view from the top was breathtaking and we realized that everywhere we'd been in Paris is strangely in a small condensed area. It truly gave us a new look on Paris. By then we'd reached all the main locations we had planned so we just strolled in and out of stores, slowly making our way back to the Metro station. On the way home we enjoyed really amazing and buttery cookies that we'd purchased from a Pie store in Montmarte. After our refreshing day out of typical Paris, we felt renewed and also ready to relax because we climbed about 50 flights of stairs!

You found it!!! The "I Love You" wall! I'm impressed. Then you found the Le Maison Rose.... good navigation instincts. Yum those pies are too much. Didn't you two find the funicular that takes you past all those steps up to Sacre Coure? Oh well, young legs can handle it. Your group will probably visit Montmartre so don't forget the funicular.
