Day 21, July 18th: Today we split up for the morning as Ali joined Logan and his family and Maddie set out on her own adventures. Ali spent the morning at the Louvre with Logan enjoying being art history nerds together at the worlds largest art museum. Maddie packed in as much as she could handle before 3pm. She made it to L'Orangerie, an absolutely stunning smaller Monet museum. Afteerwards she ventured to Le Palais de Tokyo, which was cool but also a bit, no a lot, strange. Afterwards she checked our Charvet, a very classy mens clothing store, potentially to find something for Connor, but when she saw that even the pocket squares were 80 euro, she booked it out in a flash. From there she enjoyed some casual shopping in the Latin Quarters and eventually made her way back to the apartments where we all met up to go have an early dinner. We went back to the great street, Rue Mouffetard, for a delightful meal of Escargot and Roclette, a Swedish dish of melted cheese, ham, potatoes, and pickles. It was quite a fun interactive meal because we were in charge of melting our own cheese! We went on a stroll through the Luxembourg gardens and then picked up gelato for dessert at Amarino, one of our favorites because you can get as many flavors as you want. Then we hung out and played games at the apartment. A fun night out with friends!
